We embark on the journey to Coney Island from Toome slipway, enjoying the sights of Toome Bay, Ballyronan marina, and the Battery at Ardboe.
Discover the rich history of Coney Island, an area of outstanding beauty where there is long evidence of human settlement dating as far back as Neolithic times. Here you will enjoy a warm welcome from the National Trust warden Peter who has a wealth of interesting tales to share about the island and its inhabitants. There are historical ruins to see and a wide variety of flora and fauna as well as a resident mink and other wildlife. There are picnic tables here if you wish to bring food. Toilet facilities are also available.
